Thank you for visiting my gallery.
The scenes I paint speak to me and I like to think of
them as poems or songs. They are uniquely
personal reflections and a culmination of all my life
experiences and all the people and places I have
known.
As a painter I feel that I have been blessed with a
passion for art which enriches my life as well as the
lives of others. Because I work mostly outdoors (en
plein air), my paintings are done quickly in order to
capture a fleeting moment in time. Painting this way
is exhilarating and allows me to see with a fresh
perspective. My goal is to give the viewer the same
experience of temperature, atmosphere, sights and
sounds that I feel while I am painting.
The roots of this style are found in Impressionist
painters such as Monet and Renoir and
Post-Impressionist painters Van Gogh and Cezanne.
All my paintings are done using the finest quality of
canvas and oil paints.
